Review of Tomorrowland (2015) by Ben T — 13 Feb 2016
Tomorrowland is a film that should be so good. You have a brilliant director, brilliant actors and a great premise yet tomorrowland is very meh. The acting is good from George Clooney and Britt Robertson, but the standout and best part of the film is the little girl Raffey Cassidy. This film is also very well directed by Brad Bird but it's definitely his weakest film. But the writing is what lets this film down as the writer Damon Lindelof is the guy who wrote Star Trek into Darkness and World War Z, both of which were let down by the writing. However the cgi is really good and I loved the escape scene from George Clooney's house. However the third act is extremely weak and I hate seeing a dull and completely unfunny Hugh Laurie. The start of the film is also terrible. However Tomorrowland is a fine yet very dissapointing movie. I didn't hate it and I did enjoy myself but it's very mediocre.
B-.
