Review of Tomorrowland (2015) by Bradley J — 01 Jun 2016
Despite some beautiful visuals and an ending that seems strangely optimistic, Tomorrowland is really nothing but a disappointment for Disney. The plot is a mess and the film doesn't allow the audience to connect to where the film wants them to go.
For a film entitled Tomorrowland, precious little time is spent in the city and what we do see is very limited in scope and hollow. The film wants Tomorrowland to sort of be this gleaming mystery. This makes the film promise more than it delivers and given Brad Bird's track record, the film is a bit of a let down.
Well-meaning perhaps, but still a let down. Rating: 60.
