Review of Tomorrow, When the War Began (2010) by Duncan S — 09 Apr 2011
A promising trailer and opening gets out of hand the moments Aussie teens start outsmarting trained soldiers. I hate when films do this shit, it's just dumb. An army that invades Austrailia can't handle some a few contry kids with no battle experience whatsoever.
It wouldn't be so bad if it made up for this in other places but it doesn't. Action is meh, acting is so-so and the characters aren't particularly special. Like I said, good initial idea and big on potential, shame it's never realised.
