Review of Tomorrow, When the War Began (2010) by Shidan C — 30 Nov 2012
This film deserves to be seen, but beware that it doesn't stand up to par with Hollywood movies. Things lacking were a good script, and adult acting...it seemed more like a teen movie than a real war movie. Soundtrack is also terrible.
The premise however is very intriguing...Australia being invaded by a "Coalition" army. The reason for the invasion is also not unbelievable especially as the earths population increases. Storyline progressed nicely throughout the movie and the ending was a perfect fit. The plot also tries to take a crack at a moral dilemma when a strongly religious character is put in a position where she has to choose wether or not to kill in order to save her friends.
If you focus on the pros, this movie is definitely worth 3 stars and a watch on rental.
