Review of Tomorrow Never Dies (1997) by Jeremy B — 21 Nov 2008
Another very creative and relevant Bond film that really sticks it to evil media moguls like Rupert Murdoch and has fun doing it. Brosnan is just as winning as he was in Goldeneye and this time he is paired with a Bond girl who can actually hold her own with Britain's greatest secret agent and kick ass with the best of them.
Jonathan Pryce (one of my favorite actors) is excellent in the Carver role and manages to be funny without losing his menacing edge. The pretitle sequence is breathtaking in its scope and scale and is one of my favorites of the series.
Not quite perfect (it has Teri Hatcher, after all), but a very worthwhile entry in this venerable franchise.
