Review of Tombstone (1993) by Jeremy H — 28 Apr 2011
Tombstone is a decent western that would warrant a little bit higher rating from me if they didnt botch the ending so badly. Yeah some of the acting is kind of corny especially by Kurt Russell in some parts especially the famous "Noooooo!!!" scene but with those corny moments aside he gave a pretty good performance.
The roles played by Val Kilmer and Sam Elliot were to me strong points in the film. Of course Sam Elliot in anything is a plus and this movie is no exception. The action sequences are part of the saving grace of this film as well as the cinemotography but I usual always like Western films cinemotography.
Its a good shoot em up western that falters at the end of the film. But overall I would recommend it to people that just want to see a decent shoot em up film with good action.
