Review of Tombstone (1993) by Sarfaraz A — 12 Sep 2012
Tombstone Western-film directed by George P. Cosmatos, written by Kevin Jarre. Starring Kurt Russell, Val Kilmer, Sam Elliott, Bill Paxton, Robert Mitchum (the narrator).
It is based on actual events of Gunfight at the O.K. Corral, along with the Earp Vendetta which followed it soon after in Tombstone. Kurt Russell plays Wyatt Earp and Val Kilmer plays Doc Holliday, Bill Paxton and Sam Elliot both play Earp's brothers.
Amazing locations, and true characterization of actual persons from American Old West. Doc Holiday character has been purely portrayed by many actors, and it furthers interest for audience. I was disappointed with too much of violence in the film, killing someone seemed as if no big deal; and it doesn't panic us anymore to see Earp's brother shot to dead in the mid of the movie.
