The tone of the movie is fairly uneven. Great dramatic core, with several illogical plot points. Alicia Vikander displays a more vulnerable Lara Croft, which is great but might not suit every fanboy's expectation.
In spite of this, her performance at least makes up for an utterly formulaic last act, which one would expect from a video game movie.
