Review of Tomb Raider (2018) by Arth J — 17 Mar 2018
A fresh and welcomed return of Lara Croft to the big screen. The previous Tomb Raider/Lara Croft films seemed disjointed and slightly cartoonish. This time around, I believe we get a holistic look at who Lara Croft is and what drives her on.
There is the occasional ?hiccup?, such as a nine year old tape recorder that plays without changing the batteries, but hey who carries spare batteries with them.
Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed the revamped Tomb Raider. This film put meat on the bones of a franchise previously starved for ideas and has breathed life into the whole console game v?s big screen adaptation.
Just wish someone somewhere would consider having a crack at the ?Uncharted? franchise. Seeing Nathan Drake on the big screen would be cool.
Anyway, can?t wait to see the next instalment of Tomb Raider Mk 2.
