Review of Tomb Raider (2018) by Stephen D — 18 Mar 2018

Alicia Vikander is amazing. She commited so much physically to this role and it shows. Most games adapted from videogames fall flat on their faces and either try too hard or not hard enough. Tomb Raider was both enjoyable and exciting to watch. I would love to see Vikander back again in the role and kicking more asses. From a filmmaker stand point it was entertaining and well created. I cared about the characters and their motivations. Set design was great. And they really captured the essence of the newest games.

Overall; the movie was a fun ride. Kept me wondering what would happen next. And for the cherry on top it is the amazing Alicia Vikander in the role. What else could you ask for?

The ONLY reason this isn't a 4.5 or maybe even a 5 to me is because I think it would be best as an R rated film. Lets get gritty people!
