In my opinion this movie was quite an upgrade from the previous installments (starring Angelina Jolie) I really loved Alicia Vikander's performance as Laura Croft. It was a combonation of her acting ability and the writing of the character.
I felt that this team had a better idea of what the games are like and stuck more to the source material. I enjoyed the development of the character in the beginning even if it were a little slower I think it will pay off especially if they have a sequel in mind.
Really fun action flick.
