Review of Tomb Raider (2018) by Acacia — 17 Mar 2018
Alicia Vikander, Oscar winner, stars as Lara Croft who goes to a island off the coast of Japan, following the clues left by her father. He has been gone, and presumed dead, for seven years after going to try to find the hidden tomb of an evil queen.
Lots of action and adventure follows as Lara follows the clues and finds herself in peril time and again. The movie is not bad. My main complaint is that Lara seems more like a super hero, constantly using physical strength, luck her intelligence to get out of life threatening situations.
It doesn’t matter if she is falling off a cliff, falling into a raging river, pulling herself up with one arm. She never gets more than a scratch. It was a little much, in my opinion. However, I did enjoy the movie and the adventure.
