Review of Tomb Raider (2018) by Moviemitch96 — 21 Mar 2018

Having admittedly seeing only bits and pieces of the Angelina Jolie films on TV, I can't really make a fair comparison between them and this film, but I will say that having seen neither of those films in their entirety nor really playing any of the video games growing up, I still really enjoyed and had fun with this film.

Alicia Vikander seemed to fit the title role quite well and her and the action sequences were all fun to watch. Overall, the story was rather thin and it certainly wasn't without it's cliches and predictable moments, but Vikander's performance and fun overall tone of the film was enough to make it enjoyable and worthwhile for me.
