This is a great film!! Those complaining about it being an origin story really have issues. This really is the best video game adaptation by far. While the plot isn’t generic and predictable at times, there was enough solid action, unexpected twists, superb performances especially but alicia Vikander who really brought Lara to life.
A far more realistic and grounded interpretation than what Jolie played years ago. This is a must see!! There isn’t enough action/adventure films in the sea of superhero films. This was a welcome change.
Especially great seeing female action heros which is rare in this industry. My advice to naysayers, keep your expectations low which if they are high, you’re the problem with my video game films will never succeed.
The elitist attitudes is the culprit.
