TEEN LARA TOMBOY, DADDY´S GIRL.

Lara Croft was made to counter stereotypical female characters. In this movie she is sadly denoted RIGHT BACK to being a - stereotypical female character, despite of the start of the film where she shows off well-toned sixpack stomach - and looses a MMA match to another woman. This Lara is also forged with neoliberal ideology, having turned her back to wealth and her inheritance - to live a life of a broke bicycle courier amogst the lads. In this world, apparently her biggest challenge is getting money to pay off her debts (cause she just doesn´t want that billion pounds to her name...sure), and doing a bit of bicycle racing being chased by the lads. Yyuucckk.....

After getting busted (for bicycle racing!) she finally agrees to her horrible wealth, leanrs the secrets of her daddy, goes East etc. (not to spoil the movie for anyone) - and throughout the movie she is this little girl tomboy who squeals like a pig (Lara - is a squealy little thing!), gets beaten by every man who crosses her path, seeks protection from men rather than fights it out on her own (like in the boat scene in HK), and cries, squeals, makes noises - and is a tomboy ragdoll men toss about. I guess the Swedish actress was light as a feather, didn´t learn any fighting style suited to a small person, whatnot - but the result is an awfully weak Lara - and Tomb Raider movie. At best, suited for those who like this type of women - and for sensitive neoliberals. YUCK.
