Review of Tom at the Farm (2014) by Alan W — 15 Oct 2013
A tense psychological thriller ... definitely made me feel tense, Tom goes to visit the family of his deceased partner Guillaume, but gets drawn into a cat and mouse game of deception and manipulation between himself, his partners brother; Francis and the boys mother; Agathe.
Fabulous Hitchcockian shower scene, the story unwraps but leaves some questions for your imagination to answer. Clever visual tricks and a well chosen soundtrack, Xavier Dolan delivers something different, but nethertheless memorable.
