Review of Tom and Huck (1995) by Steve S — 22 Aug 2007
Takes one of the classic American stories and Disneyfies it. Jonathan Taylor Thomas seems a bit too clean cut to be Tom Sawyer, but Brad Renfro does hit the right notes as the outcast Huck Finn. Eric Schweig as Injun Joe was scary when you're like 8, but I watched this not long ago, he just seems over the top silly now.
But, per usual, nothing in a Disney flick can be that threatning. Also features and early turn from Racheal Leigh Cook.
