Review of Tom and Huck (1995) by Robert T — 02 Mar 2008
One of the worst made films from the Disney Studio. Honestly, this film should have never been released in theaters. Best if Disney skipped the theaters and just air it on their channel. This was a mediocre adaptation of the Huckleberry Finn novel.
It would have been more interesting if Disney made this film targeted for the older population and kept the controversial aspects of the book in the film. Plus, they could also arranged some new cast members, as well.
I wasn't really feeling any connections with the film's cast at all, and trust me, I saw this in grade school, and films like this was supposed to entertain me. Sadly, it did not, and I felt bored halfway through the film.
The film's poster is a little cheesy, as well. I wonder where the cast of the film is now? I know that one of them died in January from drug problems, but how about the rest?
