Review of Tokyo Godfathers (2003) by James T — 10 Dec 2007
An engaging and inspiring adventure of a Christmas movie. This is becoming my yearly Christmas movie of choice as it shows the impoverished during the holiday season doing something noble for someone who is more helpless than they are.
It isn't the bright and happy Christmas movie most people think of either. This is a different kind of animal as it explores the dark back alleys and streets of Tokyo while still maintaining that Christmas spirit.
It gets pretty unbelievable as the whole movie is one big twist of Fate, but it's too poignant and emotional to be critical about. C'mon, where's your Christmas cheer?
