Same problem as in the tree of life. overloaded landscape pictures and hypnotic pseudopoetic voiceovers till you fall asleep. no real conversations between the characters. no normal behavior of the actors (except the child)- everybody is floating and sliding through windy grass and hills and then another tree with waving leafs and another breeze in the cornfield and another and another till the overkill is gonna give you a headache.

mr. malick would be great for perfume commercials or music videos but he cant do any decent movies.
