I love Terrence Malick and always enjoy the pristine aesthetic of his films and how they speak to something eternal and heavenly in people, but this one seemed like a bunch of well composed visual moments with no depth whatsoever.
The characters' insights presented to us in voiceover, seemed more like rambling than thought-provoking existential dialogue. Watch it in mute and enjoy the incredible photography, the only worthwhile thing in the film.
