Review of To the Devil a Daughter (1976) by Roger Ebert for Chicago Sun-Times — 22 Oct 2004
The screenplay has so many characters, and they're in so many different places, that the only way to keep them halfway straight is for them to be calling each other all the time. There are even several scenes in which the phone rings and no one's at home.
