Coming-of-age, acceptance, growth are a few words that cannot begin to describe this masterpiece of direction, acting and writing. All the elements came together in this movie that predates the genre of Stand & Deliver, Dead Poets etc.
..Poitier's only other work of this calibre was Guess Who's Coming to Dinner?
