Still haven't met a Sidney Poitier movie I didn't like -- the man is magic! Of course, love the inspiring-teacher plot, with the bonus that it's more realistic because he didn't even want the job.
All kinds of things here that wouldn't happen today (curriculum much?), but still love it. My main beefs: sometimes weird to go from standard filming to '60s-happy musical interludes/still shots, and that relationship with Pamela leaves many questions.
