Review of To Save a Life (2009) by Phyllis-Pearl O — 24 Dec 2010
This is definitely one of the most inspirational films ever made for a teen and young adult audience! Maybe the best Christian teen film ever. Almost every imaginable struggle that teens face nowadays is here, from suicide and cutting to the hypocrisy of Christian teens' dual lives.
There are no easy solutions to any of these problems. The characters are real -- fearful, doubting, overreacting, stressed out -- but at the same time many are discovering life-changing peace from knowing that God wants us to have so much more of His hope and compassion in this lifetime.
This is an incredible film for teens and their parents to watch and talk about. Highly recommended!
