Review of To Save a Life (2009) by Marissa P — 23 Mar 2011
This movie is life-changing! All you guys saying it's 'Christian' and takes too long to get to the point...maybe you should watch it again and just understand that this is really what many teens face in the world today: Suicide, pregnancy, under-age drinking, sex before marriage, depression, cutting....and the list goes on! I also learned that this movie is based loosely on several different true stories. This youth pastor wrote the script and all of the characters are based off of real people that he has had to council over the years. There is not one person on this page who can't relate to at least one character! Mabye you relate to several different characters over the course of the film, it doesn't matter. Mabye it's just that this movie reaches out more to teens then adults, I don't know. But, i've met several people who've said that they were contemplating suicide at the time they saw this and the movie completely turned there life around and because of the movie....they didn't take their own life, realizing that there is someone who loves them and that there really is a greater power. This is what your teen could be facing, or anyone for that matter.
