Review of To Save a Life (2009) by Eklektik E — 29 Aug 2011
Excellent film! Yes, some will call it "preachy" because there are times when the word "God" is used in a context other than as a swear word or something that's called out during an uncomfortably explicit sex scene.
....but this film really has heart, compassion, and a sense of hope during difficulty. This sort of thing is really missing in a lot of film, tv, and other media. Sure, some will call any kind of exhibition of sincerity corny or lame.
...but I think there are still a great many more who secretly hope for those values in their own lives but are too afraid to publicly admit it. Especially since it's so very obvious that "critics" will pounce on them and pummel them with insults until these people relent who dare question the elite.
