Review of To Save a Life (2009) by Andy P — 16 Jul 2012
A bit better than the average Christian movie. It almost seemed as though some youth pastor compiled real-life stories he has experienced and put them into this movie. May have tried to put too many stories into it and then put a bow on it in the end.
One critic complained about the lack of edge, "a reluctance on the part of the filmmakers to show ugly reality". I tend to agree. The acting was better than most, though I couldn't help thinking that the overly dramatic teens made me wonder if I was watching some teen drama on the CW Network.
