Review of To Rome with Love (2012) by Gary H — 29 Jul 2012
Woody Allen gets back to comedy with "To Rome With Love", while still managing to take a few jabs at modern morality and the "Famous For Being Famous" celebrity of folks like Snookii or the Kardashians.
I especially like Alec Baldwin as the famous architect who revisits his youth, the "nobody" middle-class worker bee who becomes a celebrity ("flavor of the week") , and especially the mortician-turned-Caruso who cannot sing unless he is in the shower.
Overall, I found this movie to be a witty, insightful look at modern life, with the beautiful eternal city of Rome as an always present co-star. Go see it - you'll laugh out loud often.
