Review of To Rome with Love (2012) by Patryk C — 09 Sep 2012
Sadly, Woody Allen's newest creation is far from amusing. The plot lines aren't connected in any way, but that's not the point. All of the stories feel a bit burned out, after only half an hour of the film's running time.
Only the 'vignette' with Allen as the struggling Opera director, and Judy Davis as his keen-witted wife, and the truly amazing Italian man singing in the shower, while performing on the big scene, made me laugh till the end.
Well, at least Rome looks as beautiful as ever, and the landscape shots are pretty right-on-spot.
