Review of To Rome with Love (2012) by Margarita S — 28 Jan 2013
This is a movie more about ideas than characters and story. The storytelling is a bit scattered because of this, though Allen does loop it all back together by the end. Grating though that Allen presupposes his audience is too stupid to understand his messages that he needs some minor archetypal character to blatantly explain them to us.
Awfully pretentious in that regard! Beautifully shot though with lush, warm colours.
