With four different stories, having nothing in common other than the fact that they are all in Rome, this movie seems very weak in engaging the audience. Half the time I didn't know if Baldwin was alive in the movie or not.
Hell, I still don't even know. It had the Woody Allen spark but it was just muffled into a corner. It was truly a let down after Midnight in Paris, with actors too accomplished for their role. The only thing I would commend anyone involved with the movie is the beautiful screenplay taking place in Rome.
His next movie better compensate for what I just saw. I have high expectations. Or do I?
