Review of To Rome with Love (2012) by Bryan R — 12 Feb 2013
After Vicky Cristina Barcelona and Midnight in Paris, two movies I thoroughly enjoyed, I believed Woody Allen had rediscovered his voice. Unfortunately, as he continues his cinematic journey through Europe this stop in Rome is just not watchable and a huge disappointment.
Unlike his recent two successes Allen cast himself in this senseless and unfunny movie. His uncontrolled narcissism is at its most irritating peak. I hope he recovers and find his footing again, perhaps with a visit to the Greek Isles next.
