Review of To Rome with Love (2012) by Francisco G — 27 Sep 2012
Though there are some pleasantly humorous moments, To Rome with Love is mostly a hit-and-miss, uneven effort that has neither the magic nor romance that made Midnight in Paris or even his earlier work Manhattan a trip worth taking.
Despite decent performances from the actors (well, except Page, who seems surprisingly out of her element in this role), there's something quite off about the film's comedic timing and humor. It's got a bit charm, but nothing that makes it as fun or wondrous as it's supposed to be.
