Director and legendary screenmaker Pedro Almodovar is Latin's Speilberg except more eccentric, and has been closely tied to Penelope Cruz' career before she made it big over seas in Hollywood.
Almodovar is best known for his corky Characters and perfectionism on making a bullet proof storyline.
Cruz' raw vocals and her ability to unhinge vulnerability on screen with just the snap of a finger. Gave her the leverage she's been struggling to gain from the Academy for years, was now at her finger tips!
