Review of To Return (1982) by Don S — 13 Jul 2011
Since I'm thoroughly enamored with Penelope Cruz, I gave this Spanish language film a try. The story moves slowly, but there was enough going on to at least hold my interest; there are lots of "talking heads" scenes that I don't care much for too.
This movie runs the gamut in story ideas: rape, murder, the afterlife, cancer, etc. It was so scattershot, it hindered my enjoyment. Cruz's range and skills make it acceptable.
