Review of To Live & Ride in L.A. (2010) by Fiddleback S — 29 Jun 2011
Truth be told the movie reaches as wide a demographice as a skate video or a porno, you'd have to be already a fan of the culture and looking for this movie to enjoy it. The only real outreach to common people(or even many geared cyclists as most of the video revolves around fixed gear bike culture) is exposing the America's, LA to be specific, hostility and absolute lack of accomadation to cyclist.
This having been said, if you are infact already a follower of the culture this movie is a treat. True, there will be those who say this movie further's the Lhipster stereotype' but let's face it, stereotypes didn't come out of no where.
Chances are if you willfully chose to see it you'll enjoy it, weather it be for the tricks, the races, or simply soaking in some LA cyclist culture till you can't take and you simply must be on two wheels, this movie is fun.
Not and award winner, and not highly educational, but all around fun and made with passion.
