Review of To Live and Die in L.A. (1985) by Craig G — 11 Oct 2007
This movie is amazing and it's unfortunate that not many people have seen it. The counterfeit, greed, etc. themes of the movie are present in all the characters and in a way represent the 80's era.
This movie is gritty and raw. It has car chases (one of the best ever on film), sex, violence, and great performances. One of William Friedkin's best.
If you like the crime/drama/thriller genre, see this movie! Better then a lot of the crap that is out nowadays.
Finally, if you're a fan of William Petersen, see the movie Manhunter. Another great movie from the 80's and Petersen is again at his best.
