Review of To Kill a Mockingbird (1962) by Renee K — 26 Oct 2010
A true classic of the cinema, good vs. evil, and when I thought good was going to triumph, evil did instead. For large parts of the film, itâ(TM)s almost as if weâ(TM)re watching it through the kidâ(TM)s eyes â" we follow their escapades in the early parts of the film and then they are there in the courtroom to see Tim Robinson wrongly convicted of rape.
Itâ(TM)s a sad tale but one that has been told many times, and in some cases good won through. Watching it now, in 2010, and being 19, it was funny to see Scout and Jem messing about with the other boy, easing their way into school, and just the way the film goes in the early stages is amusing.
