Review of To Kill a Mockingbird (1962) by Itzamar G — 09 Apr 2012
While books are rarely as good as the movie, the director captured the storyline quite well. I wasn't a huge fan of Gregory Peck's performance of Atticus. In the book this character is portrayed as being extremely emotional mature on the level that most people never reach. In the book he seemed to be almost super human in this aspect. Peck played the character well to get the story across and won an Academy Award. I am not saying it was a bad performance. For me, I don't feel he captured the emotional intelligence of Atticus.
"You never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view - until you climb into his skin and walk around in it." --Atticus.
