Review of To Kill a Mockingbird (1962) by Ian P — 17 Dec 2012
Working from Harper Lee's classic American novel, Robert Mulligan and Horton Foote have created a seminal American film that's rich with atmosphere and warmth. Gregory Peck doesn't turn in a remarkable, emotional performance that is often associated with film's great heroes, but rather an understated, well-modulated one that's inspiring in just about as many ways as one can think of.
"To Kill a Mockingbird" also features some gorgeous black-and-white photography as well as a handful of great child performances.
