Review of To Kill a Mockingbird (1962) by Amjad A — 16 Apr 2013
A superb film which features an amazing and provocative on-screen personality from the one and only "Gregory Peck." The book is one of the greatest books ever written, and the movie is one of the greatest movies ever made.
So in all honesty, to Kill A Mockingbird is one of the greatest pieces of literature in the world today. Made in the 60's, but set in the 30's, To Kill a Mockingbird is a monumental achievement which deals with social issues, race issues and adolescent issues.
It is a magnificent film that showcases Peck delivering the greatest performance of his illustrious career. It won 3 Academy Awards, which included best actor, screenplay and art direction, and deserved all three of them, if not more .
I advice this film highly for anybody who appreciated cinema at its everlasting best.
