Review of To Kill a Mockingbird (1962) by Jay A — 23 Sep 2014
I came in having already read the book (several months ago), but there still are important points in the plot that I missed. tsk tsk..
Anyway, the opening credits was beautifully made. Sensitive performance all-around, especially of Jem, Scout, and Dill themselves. Peck is exactly what I would have imagined Atticus Finch to be. The courtroom proceeding was excellently delivered.
Yet for me, the best thing from the book happens to be same as with the film. A most touching conclusion.
