Review of To Kill a Mockingbird (1962) by Zack F — 11 May 2013
After recently reading the book, I watched this old movie just to see how they depict Boo Radley at the end. I found myself watching a fantastic adaptation of a fantastic book. All the character potrayals were just excellent, from Bob Ewell to Tom Robinson.
The children played their roles well, but Gregory Peck's performance was the greatest of the lot. The court scene had me just gripped throughout as I scanned the courtroom looking for a young Robert Duvall.
By that time I had guessed he would be playing Boo. And he played it true to the book. The quality of this movie was a surprise to me, and it was an absolute joy to watch.
