Never thought a courtroom drama could keep me enthralled from beginning to end but, thinking about it again, I realize that this isn't just any courtroom drama. There's a lot more in this movie than what I expected to see.

As I haven't read the book yet, I'm not knowledgeable enough to consider Gregory Peck's performance as accurate as critics claim since I haven't read the novel's counterpart. Despite that, his presence has an uncanny impact on the movie.

It makes you think of the word "hero" or "good guy" every time you see him in a scene, the ideal protagonist in my opinion. It's a touching story for so many reasons and it shouldn't be missed.

I made the mistake of holding this one off for a long time. Truly one of cinema's greatest.
