Review of To Kill a Mockingbird (1962) by Ken S — 23 Jun 2012
Gregory Peck fronts this solid cast in a very well made picture. This drama from the early 60s and based in the 30s touched on a lot of social issues, many of which remain relevant to this day. Peck is great as Atticus Finch, and the two children who play his kids are pretty good too.
I like that the hero of this film never raises his hand or fights with anyone, even when they kind of deserve it. Classic cinema, a film that has earned that distinction.
