Review of To Kill a Mockingbird (1962) by Roland J — 20 May 2014
I really liked this movie. It's powerful and the performances, especially Gregory Peck's, are outstanding. However, I personally found the movie to be a little of a dissapointment because I read the novel beforehand (which I really liked) and the movie really cuts out a lot of good material.
The novel focused on both Scout and Jem AND Atticus' trial. The movie takes out a lot of material involving Scout and Jem, and focuses more on Atticus' trial. I still highly recommend this movie, and the movie does stay true to the "main" material of the novel, but I admit it could've been more true to the novel than it is.
