To Kill a Mockingbird starts off slowly with only any action really happening an hour into the film. However, the content in the first hour (or first half) is essential to build up to the courtroom scene.

I found the acting in this quite astounding to be honest. With a couple of the leads as kids I thought their acting was gonna be over the top and rather theatrical, seeing as this was from the 60's. Surely enough their acting was the total opposite. They controlled their acting and their screen time(s) was/were really nice to watch. The performances in the courtroom scene were impeccable too. Such a good scene.

Everything in this film is very well done; probably even perfectly done. I'm not giving it a full score because it simply didn't wow me enough for me to give it a full score. Still, it was really good. Maybe it is because of my age or that I'm just not used to watching older films. Maybe the story just isn't my type. Not everyone is going to like every film. Though this has been called a masterpiece, it didn't leave much of an impact on me.
