Review of To Hell and Back (1955) by Jerry M — 11 Jul 2007
Let's get something straight before you watch this movie. It was made in 1955 so its not chocked ful of special effects like today's movies are. So don't expect to be blown away by the graphics.
Instead sit back in awe as you realize that what is portrayed actually occurred in real life to the greatest war hero the United States has ever seen, Audie Lee Murphy. While he is the main actor, you should be able to see that he highlights more of his friends actions than he does himself.
Audie Murphy was a great American and every one of us should watch this film at least once to pay respect not only to him but for every American fighting man and woman that has ever served our country at home or abroad, in peace or on the field of battle.
