Review of To Have and Have Not (1945) by Joy B — 12 Jun 2007
An absolutely fabulous movie completely different from the horrid book. It's full of exotic caribbean sensuality and you find yourself in the middle of a real life romance. Bacall's first on screen preformance is amazing and she is unfortunately one of the most over looked stars of that era.
Bogart plays his part wonderfully as usual, and all elements of film combine together to create one of the best love stories of all time.
